To study the mechanisms of acupuncture on Shuigou, Neiguan and Zusanli in treating acute cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: Fifty eight patients were randomly divided into 28 cases of regular treatment group (control group) and 30 cases of regular treatment integrated with acupuncture group (treatment group). The changes of serum TNF α, plasma NSE and serum LPO before and after treatment were detected and compared. Results:After teatment, the contents of TNF α?NSE?LPO in both groups were lower than those before treatment( P 0 01). And the changes of treatment group were more obvious than those of control group (NSE, P 0 05; LPO, P 0 01).Conclusion:Acupuncture on Shuigou, Neiguan, Zusanli may adjust the contents of TNF α, NSE, LPO. That indicates acupuncture the acupoints mentioned above may adjust the disorder of nervous endocrine immune system, inhibit lipid peroxidation and resist the injury from free radical in order to improve the prognosis of cerebral hemorrhage.
